My love story

I met my husband when I was 19.  I was a waitress, and he was a line cook.  Our first date on January 17, 2004 wasn’t really a date until half way through.  We hung out at a bookstore, ate Italian food and saw Big Fish.  I can’t quite say the exact moment it went from two friends hanging out to two people on a date, but we’ve been together ever since.  A year after our first date, my husband set up an elaborate scavenger hunt that ended up with a proposal.  We had a long engagement (1.5 years) so that we could save up enough money for our wedding and to start out our life together.  We were both broke college students living at home when we first got engaged.  We married July 15, 2006.  It was a whirlwind day, and was easily one of the happiest days of my life.  We spent our first month as a married couple traveling around Ireland.  Best.  Honeymoon.  Ever.  Our lives stayed quite the whirlwind ever since.  I was pregnant a few months after we got married.  We finished school, got real jobs, bought a house, had another baby, and here we are today, seven years later, still happily married and still in quite the whirlwind.
