142. Photos and a recipe

The newest addition to my littlest one’s wall

My daughter found my mascara. Not only was it all over her, but it was also all over the bathroom.

Fresh from my garden, sun sugar tomatoes, yum!

My little boy did this for his godfather. Obviously, I helped a little.

Now for the recipe.  Originally a Pinterest find but with an Ani twist.

Parmesan Roasted Green Beans

  • Fresh green beans
  • Olive oil
  • Parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toasted sesame seed oil

Heat your oven to 400.  Toss your fresh green beans with olive oil (enough to lightly coat the beans).  Lay green beans on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.  Salt and pepper.  Bake for 20 minutes.  The beans will be a little al dente, meaning they’ve still got a little crisp to them.  Splash with sesame seed oil and enjoy.

  • No, you cannot use the sesame seed oil from the beginning.  It has a low burning point (if that’s the correct terminology) and will fill your oven with smoke.
  • Because the sesame seed oil has a strong flavor, you don’t need much oil.  Or much parmesan for that matter.
  • This was not the most appealing recipe to my little ones, but the adults of the family loved it.  I’ll make it again.
